Iodex was origianlly introduced in 1910 with the healing power of iodine. As long as Iodex remains in contact with body tissues in minor cuts, wounds and abrasions, the iodine gradually separates from the molecule of the carrier and inhibits the growth and action of bacteria and promotes healing.
